The B&C Speakers DE800-8 is a premium, Italian-engineered high-frequency compression driver designed for demanding professional audio applications, including line array systems, stage monitors, and high-output concert sound reinforcement.It features a high-performance neodymium ring magnet assembly that offers a lightweight, high-flux density motor structure. To combat power compression during extended use, the driver utilizes a rugged, finned cast aluminum rear cover that acts as an efficient heatsink, drawing heat away from the motor assembly.At its core, the unit is built around a 3-inch (75 mm) voice coil wound with lightweight aluminum wire and attached to a composite polyimide and titanium diaphragm. This material selection provides an ideal balance of mechanical stiffness and transient response, delivering high sensitivity, exceptionally low distortion, and accurate high-frequency reproduction up to 18 kHz.The driver features a standard 1.4-inch (36 mm) throat exit and robust, spring-loaded push terminals for quick and secure cable connections.
