Eminence KAPPA-15A 15Inch Professional Loudspeaker Driver

The Eminence KAPPA-15A is a high-performance, 15-inch professional pro-audio raw loudspeaker component engineered for high-power main PA enclosures, stage monitors, and instrument amplification. Manufactured as part of Eminence’s legendary American Standard Series, this driver is celebrated for its outstanding sensitivity, heavy-duty reliability, and punchy mid-bass response.Equipped with a massive 80-ounce ferrite magnet structure and a robust 3-inch copper voice coil wound on a polyimide former, the Kappa-15A efficiently handles 450 Watts RMS (Continuous) and up to 900 Watts of Peak Program power. It features a highly sensitive design rated at 100.5 dB (1W/1m), allowing it to deliver exceptionally clean, high-volume output even when paired with modest power amplifiers.Acoustically optimized for midrange and upper-bass clarity, its usable frequency range spans from 52 Hz up to 2.3 kHz. While it can produce a satisfying low-end kick in standard two-way or three-way PA cabinet designs, its low resonant frequency ((f_{s}) of 33 Hz) makes it highly versatile. It is specifically recommended for vented (ported) enclosures ranging from 1.6 to 4.0 cubic feet (45 to 113 liters), as well as custom bass guitar cabinets where tight, articulate low-mid punch is vital. Built to withstand the rigors of the road, it features a stamped steel chassis and a paper cone with a cloth cone edge, ensuring longevity in demanding live sound and touring environments.
