JBL SRX718S 18-Inch High-Power Passive Subwoofer

The JBL SRX718S is a professional, high-performance passive subwoofer engineered to deliver powerful, low-frequency extension in a highly compact form factor. Designed primarily as a foundation for live music arrays, DJ setups, clubs, and houses of worship, this sub is built to withstand the rigors of heavy touring while providing clean, punchy bass.At the heart of the enclosure is a premium 18-inch 2268H Differential Drive® woofer. This advanced driver features dual voice coils and a neodymium magnet structure, which significantly reduces the speaker’s weight while drastically increasing thermal power capacity. The subwoofer effortlessly handles 800 watts of continuous power, 1600 watts of program power, and an impressive 3200 watts of peak power. The cabinet is constructed from top-tier, CNC-machined birch plywood and finished in a rugged, scuff-resistant DuraFlex™ coating. Its front is protected by a heavy-duty, 16-gauge steel grille lined with acoustically transparent foam to shield the components from environmental hazards. To maximize acoustic performance, the enclosure incorporates a large port area that minimizes turbulence and air distortion, resulting in incredibly clear and deep low-frequency reproduction down to 31 Hz.For added versatility, the top panel features a 20 mm threaded pole mount socket. Unlike standard drop-in sockets, this threaded design provides a highly stable, wobble-free connection for mounting heavy satellite speakers on standard speaker poles. Recessed ergonomic handles on the sides facilitate easy transport and setup, making it an ideal choice for mobile audio professionals and permanent venue installations alike.
